DESCRIPTION:This hike winds through the Gorges de la Jogne, a river formerly known as Jaunia – La Froide.\nThe trail links the village of Broc to the Barrage de Montsalvens. Wooden bridges, tunnels and galleries enliven the hike.\nArchitectural marvels dot the trail. At Broc, the Jogne flows into Lac de La Gruyère at La Maison Cailler, Switzerland’s chocolate factory since 1898. Upstream from the Gorges de la Jogne, we discover the Montsalvens dam. Dating from 1921, this is Europe’s first double-arch dam. As you cross it, it’s time to admire the sublime view over the Jogne Valley and the Dents-Vertes de Charmey.\nSource : www.myswitzerland.com\n
